Bill Fulton

On April 15, 26 years ago, Bostik extended an offer of employment to a young Account Representative from 3M with a BS in Education from Salem State College.  Little did Bostik realize, when 5 days later Bill Fulton accepted that offer and started his career as a Product Manager, that they had just made one of the best decisions they would ever make.

Bill Fulton came to Bostik in 1982 and quickly established himself as a leader and an individual who would leave his mark on Bostik's future.  Within two years, Bill was promoted to National Sales Manager and then, two years later, to the Director of Marketing.  In 1990, Bill became an officer of Bostik as the VP of Marketing and Sales. 

In 1995, Bill became the General Manager of the Construction and Distribution Division.  Over the next ten years, this Division, under Bill's leadership, went from a $50 Million Division to almost a $200 Million Division.  The profitability of the Division increased six fold over that same ten year period, becoming the benchmark within Bostik Worldwide and within the Adhesives Industry.

Beyond the incredible financial success and achievements of the C&D Division over that 10 year period, Bill was also responsible for building and developing one of the finest Management Teams and overall organizations in our industry.  Bill's touch and influence as the leader of C&D has been reflected in all areas of the business…..from the culture, to the people…..and will be felt for many years to come.

I have had the privilege to work with Bill and to get to know him as a person over the last seven years.  During that time, I have developed a deep respect for him both professionally and personally.  I have admired him as a winner, a leader and a man.  I am thankful for the opportunity to have had him on my team and to have developed a relationship that will hopefully last long after his retirement.

On March 31, 2008, Bill Fulton will be turning over the reigns of the C&D Division to Rich D’Autilio.  Bill will formally retire from Bostik on June 30, 2008.
